Your catering order will have been refrigerated prior to collection or delivery. Please ensure that it is chilled until eaten. The Food Standards Agency states that food that has not been used within four hours can be put back in the fridge and kept at 8°C or below until it is used. If it has been out for more than four hours it should be thrown away.
Keep your cake chilled until prior to serving.
Remove all inedible decor before cutting. Real flowers and leaves used for decoration are not intended to be eaten.
Icing models, flowers and other decorations including toppers, labels and ribbons may contain wires, cocktail sticks and inedible items so be sure to remove and set aside before cutting.
Beware! Some cakes have supporting skewers or dowels - DO NOT SMASH CAKE INTO FACES.
Cut with a sharp clean blade. Cold cakes cut best (but room-temperature cakes taste better).
